Introduction

Industrial Training Institute (ILP) Mersing is an Institute under the auspices of the Public Skills Manpower Department, Ministry of Human Resources.

Automotive courses conducted by the Automotive Division under the Department of Mechanical & Production, Industrial Training Institute Mersing.

Training Objective

• Produce skilled manpower inside Automotif field needed by sector country's automotive industry.
• Increase employees' skill quality industry to enable they give contribution with more effectiveness over development of the nation.
• Create opportunity for youth school leavers get systematic industrial skills training to enable they secure jobs.

Course Description

Automotive courses are courses involving work training maintaining, and repairing vehicles , where it involves multiple systems such as engines, autoelectrik system, transmission system, braking system, Air-car systems, suspension systems and Stering. Students who attend this course will be exposed to learning theory and practical to meet the requirements of certification: --

National Vocational Training Council (MLVK) up to level 3
Manpower Department ( Technician Certificate ) 

Facility
Workshop and Computer Laboratory                                                                                      Equipment outfit is satisfy computer laboratory certificate and facility

Allowance
Pocket allowance as much as RM 100 one month.
Training allowance while working as much as RM300.

Accommodation
Hostel accommodation and meals provided free of charge

Recreation
Civil servant, a large hall and playground for sporting, recreational and religious activities

Course Duration                                                                                                                     
Course period is as 1 year (training) and 3 months of training while working (on job training) - Level 1 & Level 2.

Eligibility for admission to courses Automotive is SPM / SPMV and pass Mathematics & Science

Certificate
Students who have successfully followed this course will acquire: --

Industrial Technician Certificate by JTM
Malaysian Skills Certificate Level 1 & 2 by MLVK.

Career Prospects

ILP graduate having bright and attractive career opportunity vehicle service central, car assembly factory or open own workshop.

They also have the opportunity to further their studies SKM level 3 and level 4 (equivalent diploma) and level 5 (equivalent degree) in institutions of advanced skills such as ADTEC, JMTI, GMI, MFI and IKTBN.
